AG2R La Mondiale

AG2R-LA MONDIALE Professional Cycling Team from France with UCI ProTour team status since 2006. The team is historically linked with the Tour de France, having participated 22 times since 1993. For 2017, the team has been strengthened in preparation for the spring classics with both Oliver Naesen, the winner of Bretagne Classic Ouest-France, and Stijn Vandenbergh- 13th of Ronde Van Vlaanderen, boosting the Cobbled Classics group.

Several General Classification riders have joined AG2R-LA MONDIALE such as Mathias Frank and Alexandre Geniez who will strengthen the team around Romain Bardet. They will help the team to perform all year round on stage races and, of course, on the Grand Tours. The French team is also very ambitious on Ardennes Classics with Romain Bardet and many puncheur riders as Jan Bakelants, Alexis Vuillermoz, Domenico Pozzovivo, etc..

The AG2R LA MONDIALE Team can also rely on some promising riders as Pierre Latour who won a superb stage at the Vuelta a España in 2016. In the same respect, it’s important to note that Nans Peters and Benoit Cosnefroy (Benoît will turn professional with the team on 1st August) will be the ninth and tenth riders on the current roster coming from the Chambéry Cyclisme Formation program. These men let hope their future will be filled with success!

Let us not forget experienced riders in particular Samuel Dumoulin, Hubert Dupont, and Christophe Riblon, very important elements in the team who support the younger generation and help them to move forward.
