With fi’zi:k on hand to support their ‘cross athletes at the big USA showdown, fi’zi:k cyclo cross poster boy, Tim Johnson, did not disappoint! Johnson brought home his third US National title, making the win look almost effortless, turning the pedals under his “Smooth is Fast” motto. And that’s exactly what the Aliante ridin’ Johnson was: fast and immaculately smooth.
While it was difficult to predict what might unfold on the very technical, twisting course, with a stacked field and riders coming off big wins and in peak form, it was clear from the first lap that Johnson could truly use the course to his advantage. Johnson rode a brilliant race from the gun and was absolutely flawless. Coming in 5th and 6th were teammates Jeremy Powers and Jamey Driscoll.
Prior to the men’s event Meredith Miller and Amy Dombroski battled it out for 2nd and 3rd in the women’s pro race. Chameleons when it comes to position; low maintenance when it comes to saddle fit, both Miller and Dombroski ride the Antares.
Congrats to all fi’zi:k ‘crossers! |
