Équipe cycliste FDJ

FDJ is a french UCI World Tour cycling team. Founded in 1997, the team gained its pro-tour licence in 2012 and is predominantly composed of French riders.
Since its inception the team has won 22 Grand Tour stages. In 2014 FDJ conquered the red jersey at Giro d'Italia with Nacer Bouhanni, winner of three stages and leader of the points classification. Moreover, a prestigious result came at the 2014 Tour de France, with the third place overall of the french rider Thibaut Pinot.
Thibaut, who is just 25, is the spearhead for the FDJ team, finishing 10th in the 2015 rankings after impressive stage wins at Tour de Romandie, Tour de Suisse and the Tour de France. The mountainous skew to the 2016 Tour de France course should suit the Frenchman, who could end the home country’s 31-year barren spell.
