A 3D printed padding
The evolution of digital 3D printing allowed us to develop a new saddle without the constraints or limitations imposed by traditional production methods and materials. The Adaptive saddle padding is crafted by Carbon using its revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process which uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, resolution and surface finish.
Tailored zonal cushioning
Using Carbon technology, biomechanists and engineers have an unprecedented possibility: to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, tuning each of them separately for specific mechanical properties.Each of these key functional zones is engineered with a distinctive cushioning and mechanical response, joined together progressively and seamlessly in the same padding.
Lab tested, road proven
Professional cyclists and amateur riders were tested in both the fizik labs and on the road. During each development phase, every iteration was carefully tested. A great focus has been put on understanding how the pressure patterns change according to different bike geometries, riding positions, and riding styles.
From an idea, directly to scalable production
Thanks to this one-of-its-kind combination of process and material, we’ve been given the chance to develop a product five times faster, creating and field-testing hundreds of iterations. Being applicable to mass production, this technology completely remaps the traditional manufacturing process, accelerating and leaping over all intermediate phases.
Long-lasting performance
The saddle is very easy to clean. Even with the filthiest road muck, all you need to do is simply hose it over with water. Whatever gets in, gets out. We’ve put it through the most severe tests, simulating accelerated weathering, UV aging and wear resistance by following strict protocols.

I've been an Aliante user for nearly 2 decades and thought I'd give the Antares a try. I ride in a more upright position with my hands on the hoods ( a bull). So I wasn't surprised that this saddle didn't work for me (even though I hoped it would) and I ended up ordering the new Aliante Tempo Open R1 instead. But the Antares saddle was delivered in perfect condition and was quality built. The 3-D printed surface is quite firm (compared to my old Aliante) and not as soft as I had hoped. So if you like soft cushioning, another model might work better for you. It's a quality, light saddle and the fact that it did not work for my anatomy is no fault of the saddle.

So far I'm very happy with this saddle. It's comfortable and performance oriented. I only have 165 miles on it so I can't give a long term opinion, however, it outperforms my last saddle in comfort. As others have mentioned; the rails run taller than most so installing this will likely cause you to lower your seatpost. I had to lower mine by 10mm.

I already wrote a review but I'm not sure if it went through, my phone may have been acting up. This saddle is incredibly well made and brilliantly engineered, it is much more comfortable than I was expecting. I had some difficulty finding the correct position and leveling the saddle but once I did it worked perfectly for me. I was worried since I weigh about 97kg, having read other reviews from heavier riders I was expecting it to be very harsh but I was pleasantly surprised. One thing I did notice was I have to be careful not to sit down the wrong way, if some of the fabric from my bibs gets caught up on the 3D padding it will pinch and cause irritation but that's easily avoidable. I've done rides as long as 60 miles and have stayed comfortable the whole time.

I bought the black version. This saddle is the result of technology meeting art! It is sleek, superlight!, and extremely comfortable. The 3D padding is surprisingly firm, having read negative reviews that suggested that it collapsed when you sit on it. The texture of the padding is a tad sticky, so IF there were a negative for some riders, that might be a con. I am thrilled that I made the choice to buy this rather pricey saddle because it is worth every penny!
