GREATER STABILITY
Where a traditional saddle shape encourages riders to shift their position frequently for better leverage, the Argo puts riders in a more planted position, making for greater stability and better weight distribution. The Terra Argo’s short length allows riders to sit further forward without placing undue pressure on sensitive areas. It also features an ergonomic cut-out that was developed using detailed pressure analysis and input from medical experts.
GRAVEL SPECIFIC SADDLE
The Argo is our most versatile saddle shape, with each version suited to different riding styles. As the gravel-specific option, the Terra Argo has been engineered with a compliant shell to offer a certain degree of flexibility. This controlled elasticity absorbs road chatter and vibrations, delivering the comfort needed for long distance riding over unpaved roads.
STABILITY AND RESPONSIVENESS
To better support the Terra Argo’s flexible shell, we used our closed-loop Mobius rail system for increased structural stability and responsiveness. The Terra Argo features a waved profile to provide the lower-back support necessary for long rides and to help riders hold their position while climbing on loose terrain. The same goes for the dropped-nose design which allows riders to rotate their pelvis while pushing forward on the nose for better traction and power transfer.
LONG DISTANCE COMFORT
The padding is made from fizik’s proprietary Type-2 foam formulation, slightly thicker around the ischial sit bones area to support a more upright riding posture. The cushioning is slightly softer and more progressive than the type we use on our racing saddles, providing more long-distance comfort.

The seat was packaged very nicely within its own product box within the shipping box, no damage to package.
I have been using the seat for about a week now and I am very satisfied. It is very comfortable and so far after mostly 1 hour rides I have no pain or numbness in my sit-bones. I’ve been riding fizik saddles for almost 20 years, having ridden the Airone and Kurve Snake on most of my road bikes in that time.
I bought a gravel bike last year and everyone said I had to try to Brooks C15. I bought one and spent way too much time micro adjusting it. It’s waterproof woven fabric was shredding my expensive bibs and finally I started looking for a better option.
I heard great reviews for the Terra Argo X3, and ended up getting one. fizik shipped it DHL express, arriving from Italy to NYC in only 4 days. It was so easy to install and I only made one adjustment over the course of my first 40 mile ride with it.
I’ve been running a set back seatpost, but I think that with the short nose saddle I can swap back to a straight post, so bear that in mind. I have nothing but praise for this thing.
There’s not a carbon rail option in the Terra Argo range, but tbh this saddle is so light that it’s not even an issue.

I've got about 170 miles on this saddle, mostly on road, but some off-road as well. Rides have typically been in the 1.5-2.5 hours, so I haven't gotten a really big day in on it yet. It's comfortable in the sense that I don't usually think about it or notice it, which is perfectly fine by me. It looks nice and feels well made. For what it's worth, I found my X3 weighed the same as the claimed weight as the X5, so don't get the X3 for just the weight. There might be some comfort gains in the rails, but that's very hard to quantify objectively. I think it's a decent saddle for the price, and if you've had comfort issues on saddles like the Antares, this is definitely worth trying.
