TRANSIRO POWERSTRAP R4 is a triathlon shoe with an extremely quick and intuitive to use, enveloping Velcro closure, ideal for shorter-distance races. For sprint or short distance triathlon formats, where every second shaved off in transition matters, we wanted to deliver a shoe that could offer the fastest and most intuitive closure system possible.
POWERSTRAP
Powerstrap is extremely quick to fasten: simply slide into the shoe, pull and roll out from the transition smoothly. The strap is designed to pull an extended area of the shoe’s upper, so the fit is enveloping and secure, even with a relatively simple system.
To ease transition, the Powerstrap can be locked in the wide open position ready for quick and easy foot entry, while the heel is equipped with a rubberized loop to facilitate setting the shoes ready clipped into the pedals, and easily and quickly pulling your feet into them.
The shoe’s upper construction combines mesh – for superior ventilation – with Microtex, to ensure appropriate foot support in every pedal stroke.
R4 OUTSOLE
The upper is complemented by a moderately stiff R4 outsole, delivering a striking balance between comfort and pedalling efficiency while still providing efficient ventilation for temperature control.

It's an incredible product, I was very lucky I founded it discounted. It's still a bit early to give a proper review, but I'm completely satisfied. It’s a little too early to really give a rating as we all know it takes time to wear in new shoes. However, so far so good. They're comfortable and breathable. The strap makes it quicker to put on. Great entry-level triathlon shoes. Better than a entry-level road shoe on the feel. The strap system allows you to get a nice fitting on the upper part of the feet and the toe box feels good and breaths well.

My third pair of Fizik shoes and I couldn’t be happier. The attention to detail and the small things that have been incorporated into the shoe from their non-triathlon shoes, makes this shoe one of the most comfortable. The power transfer feels much more normal that other Tri shoes I’ve had because of the enclosure system. I have relatively wide feet so finding a shoe that isn’t too narrow has been an issue. I recommend trying these on first as the sizing charts are little funky.

I just received the shoe and have tried it, but haven't raced in it yet. However, I already love it. Lightweight. Feels great. Strap stays open for quick transition and is quick and easy to Velcro shut while feeling secure. Based on reviews I read online I ordered a half size down from what I normally wear (typically US7/EU40 ordered 39.5) and fits great. I would highly recommend and am now looking to convert my road shoes over to Fizik.
