CROSS COUNTRY SHOES COLLECTION

Finding the best mountain bike shoes for cross country (XC) MTB is easy when you choose fizik, with designs for everything from fast circuit racing to all-day endurance and multi-day adventure. MTB shoes are fundamentally different from road shoes, with grippy outsoles made for walking, a centre channel for attaching cleats for clipless MTB pedals and robust uppers designed to shrug off mud and abrasions from rocks and gravel. fizik understands these differences and designs mountain bike shoes with details specific for off-road use.

Cross Country is the most-popular MTB discipline, and that means that competition is always steep. But whether you’re racing point-to-point through single track for the fastest time possible, or simply cruising fire roads or gravel segments on an exploration Sunday, fizik XC mountain bike shoes are designed to perform off-road on everything from an entry-level to the best-rated mountain bike on the market.

Our XC Mtb shoes offer solutions for the two main categories of Cross Country. Vento is our range of hi-tech shoes designed together with professional cyclists for intense racing as well as long-distance off-road time trialling. Our Terra MTB-specific shoes offer well-rounded performance for all-around cross country riding, providing excellent power transfer, support and flexibility of movement.

Most of our shoes for XC MTB come with Overcurve, a shoe construction featuring a staggered collar that wraps around the ankle, tracing the natural misalignment of the ankle’s two bony protrusions: the lateral and medial malleoli. The result is an asymmetrical shape, with the throat of the shoe curving over the foot from its outside to its inner side and closed by the powerful, micro-adjustable Boa® IP1 dial.
