Race-ready
Bei der Entwicklung eines für Rennen geeigneten Gravity-MTB-Schuhs war das Feedback von professionellen Spitzensportlern ziemlich eindeutig: Sowohl Downhill- als auch Enduro-Racer wünschen sich einen schützenden und robusten Schuh, der die Kontrolle über das Bike beim Pedalieren verbessert.
Aber abgesehen von guter Kontrollierbarkeit, wollten sie auch Leichtigkeit und Performance mit einer präzisen Passform, eine Kombination, die meistens bei Performance orientierten Schuhen zum Gravity Mountainbiken fehlt. Deshalb haben wir uns an das Zeichenbrett begeben, um etwas Einzigartiges zu schaffen: Einen leichten und wendigen, aber dennoch robusten Rennschuh, der alle Anforderungen von wettbewerbsführenden Downhill- und Enduro-MTB-Fahrern erfüllt.
Außensohle und Fahrkontrolle
Beginnen wir mit der Außensohle. Zusammen mit den Händen am Lenker sind die Füße ein entscheidender Kontaktpunkt, wenn es um die Kontrolle des Bikes geht. Die Gravita-Sohle bietet genau die Art von Verbindung, die Sie für schnelles und aggressives Gravity-Riding benötigen. Sie kombiniert die griffigste Vibram® XS EVO-Gummimischung mit einem speziellen zonalen Profildesign. Ein flaches, konisch zulaufendes Profil, das im Mittelfußbereich positioniert ist, sorgt für direkten Kontakt und eine optimale mechanische Verbindung mit den Pedalpins, während unter der Ferse und den Zehen ein tieferes, schärferes Profil für eine bessere Bodentraktion sorgt, wenn es zu Fuß wieder bergauf geht.
Die Clip-In-Version ist steifer als die Flat-Pedal Variante und sorgt für eine bessere Kraftübertragung über den gesamten Pedaliervorgang, was die Effizienz beim Pedalieren erhöht. Aufgrund des verlängerten Cleat Kanals können Sie bei der Clip-in-Version Ihre Cleats weiter hinten positionieren, wodurch die Fersen bei Abfahrten tiefer abgesenkt werden können, um sowohl die Stabilität als auch die Kontrolle zu verbessern, genau wie beim Fahren mit Flat Pedals.
Leistungsorientierte Passform
Sowohl Downhill- als auch Enduro-Rennen zeichnen sich durch kurze, intensive und kraftvolle Pedaliervorgänge aus, egal ob man aus dem Startgatter sprintet oder sich der Ziellinie nähert. Die richtige Fußspannung und Passform ist essentiell, um jedes Watt Leistung effektiv zu übertragen. Um Leistungsverlust zu vermeiden, haben wir unsere jahrzehntelange Erfahrung und unser Wissen bei der Entwicklung passgenauer Radschuhe genutzt. Für den Tensor haben wir eine ergonomische Schnürung entwickelt, die den Fuß umschließt und die Kraft gleichmäßig auf das Pedal verteilt. Ein Powerstrap über dem Rist sorgt für sicheren Sitz, stabilisiert das Fußgewölbe und fixiert die Ferse, während er gleichzeitig die Schnürsenkel in Schach hält.
Langlebig und Schutz bietend
Bei der Entwicklung des Tensor wurde bewusst darauf geachtet, das Gewicht zu reduzieren und das überschüssige Material zu entfernen, welches sonst zu dem klobigen Aussehen und der schlabbrigen Passform eines normalen Gravity-Schuhs führen würde. Um dies zu vermeiden, besitzt der Tensor eine schlanke Silhouette und minimales Gewicht durch die Verwendung von innovativen Rip-Stop-Außenmaterialien und einem Innenfutter, welches weit weniger stark aufträgt als herkömmliche Alternativen.
Darüber hinaus ist unser Gravity-Rennschuh mit dem notwendigen Schutz ausgestattet, der bei schnellen und ruppigen Fahrten erforderlich ist: Eine spritzgegossene TPU-gepanzerte Zehenbox wehrt Steine und Geröll ab, während das erhöhte Innenknöchelprofil und ein robuster laminierter Scheuerschutz entlang stark beanspruchter Bereiche schützen.

I'm usually a size 42 but they came up a little short so swapped to 42.5 which was much better. Super comfy and plenty wide enough in the toe box.
Downside is the laces - they're too short and too slippery so they're quite difficult to do up properly

right out of the box, the boot fit and functioned perfectly. It held up on the fastest of descents and stayed comfortable thru the climbs. The vamp was roomy enough to allow my feet to swell during the day but was not loose enough that i lost foot control. The hard bumper on the toe box kept my toes from getting dinged up with flying debris and the outsole traction was solid yet has a softness to it that it felt comfortable on quick hikes. I would definitely buy this product again.

Déçu. Ces chaussures correspondaient sur le papier exactement à ce que je cherchais. La qualité de fabrication est bien au rendez-vous, comme toujours chez Fizik, et la chaussure est superbe mais malheureusement le fit ne me convient pas : la toe box est trop épaisse, trop haute (possibilité de déplacement verticale trop importante) ce qui ne m'offre pas le maintien que je voudrais. I love my new shoes. The wide footprint traduce to stability on the pedal while going down. The clipless are good to transfer power while pedaling. As I have a wide front foot I chose half a size over for the comfort. I will be able to use warmer socks toward the end of the season with the extra space. Good job Fizik!

The size is perfect. I selected the size with the providet show sizing guide on the website and my knowhow tat you have always to add 10mm space with sport shoes. So I ordered a size 45 with a foot length of 285mm and this fits perfect. The Show itself is comfortable and I had a good feeling sinze I used it only for one bike run so far. I gave only 4 from 5 stars because I would prefer the boa Single Strap closure combined with a protective velcro fastener.

I bought the Gravita and Tensor. Both shoes are packed with useful, functional features. The design, materials and fit and finish are stellar. The lowers are chunky and stout. Offset lacing and lite uppers are ahead of any production shoe. I have large amounts of disposable income. I buy a large amount of varied bikes (gravel, mountain) and bike products. Both of these shoes are so much more technically advanced and comfortable than anything currently sold. Only time will tell if they survive long term savage beatings.

Have put about 30 miles on the shoes and they’ve broken in well! They are comfortable with a good balance between rigidity and compliance. Would definitely recommend for people riding aggressive single track. They are easy to locate the cleats and allow for quick clip-ins.

Great shoe, it has a really solid lockdown, despite being with laces and the strap makes it so they doesn't fly anywhere.
It is also pretty stiff, which makes it great for riding. At the same time you can walk around comfortably in them.
My preferred use is not as intended, but as an daily commuter shoe that can be worn with normal clothes. This is also a benefit as it looks pretty much like some normal sneakers.
They are manufactured in an seemingly very durable way with the rubber edge and the sole.

Shoe fits well, maybe a little snug, but laces allow for more room. Shank is nice and stiff, lace strap works really well and there is no excess strap to flap around. The shoe breathes better than I thought, might be a little chilly on winter rides, but great for spring and summer. Heel cup works well when hiking up steep tracks, the shoe doesn't slip on the foot at all. Cleat box is a little narrow, but provides a secure feel when clipped in.

True to size (9.5 is spot on) and extremely comfortable... I have about 10 miles of walking and around 175 miles of pedaling on them so far: as said -extremely comfortable- and just the right amount of flex to rigidity for everything I need.
Vibram soles are gripy in the wet.
Fizik, ya done good with these... keep them in production please?!

Overall these are a great trail shoe! The vibrant sole gives lots of grip. Lots of support and the inside ankle guard helps against unwanted frame rub. I will say it makes me wonder why they didn’t make them a full mid high shoe. I feel like the mesh top won’t be great once things get a bit damp in late season however not discounting them yet.
These are my first clipless shoes and so far I love them. The first day I got them I wore them around the house without cleats to start breaking them in and the comfort was unreal.

I love these shoes. Use them for All trail riding, matched to spd XT pedals. Quality is exceptional- fit is good. I run a bit narrow heel but this shoe is snug in all the right places and room in my toes. Soul is great, grips where I want it to. Came from all boa shoes but these are almost as easy to put on even with the laces. The toe armor is tough but the shoe is flexible, keeping the stiffness for pedaling. I love the padded “neoprene sock” that keeps rocks and dirt out while keeping my inner ankle pain free. I used my sizing from my specialized shoes- perfect fit.
