Der Allround-Rennradschuh ist so konzipiert, dass er bei Gruppenfahrten am Wochenende, beim täglichen Training und beim Ausstrecken auf einem Granfondo gleichermaßen zu Hause ist.
Die klassische Ästhetik des Overcurve R4 täuscht über eine fortschrittliche Konstruktionstechnik hinweg: Ein elastisches, laminiertes Polyurethan-Material wird über einem komfortablen Netzgewebe kombiniert, wodurch Energieverluste reduziert werden und der Fuß dort langlebig unterstützt wird, wo er am meisten gebraucht wird. Der Overcurve R4 Wide wurde speziell für Fahrer mit breiteren Füßen entwickelt und bietet eine voluminösere Passform mit mehr Platz im Vorfußbereich um den Fußballen und die Mittelfußknochen.
Overcurve
Der Schuhverschluss ist schnell, zuverlässig und sicher und wird von einem mikro-einstellbaren BOA® Li2-Drehknopf mit Overcurve-Muster geregelt. Die Overcurve-Schuhkonstruktion zeichnet sich durch einen versetzten Kragen aus, der sich um den Knöchel wickelt und die natürliche Ausrichtung der beiden knöchernen Vorsprünge des Knöchels nachzeichnet: der lateralen und der medialen Malleoli. Das Ergebnis ist eine asymmetrische Form, bei der sich die Kehle des Schuhs von der Außen- zur Innenseite über den Fuß wölbt.
R4 Outsole
Die mäßig steife R4-Außensohle schafft ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis zwischen Komfort und Effizienz beim Pedalieren und macht sie zu einem echten Allrounder. Sie zeichnet sich durch ein niedrigeres Profil aus, das strukturell mit einer 15%igen Carbonfaserzusammensetzung optimiert ist. Die R4-Außensohle bietet zudem eine effiziente Belüftung mit internen Kanälen für eine effektive Temperaturregulierung. Die Cleats sind im Vergleich zur traditionellen Platzierung etwas weiter zur Ferse hin positioniert, um die Effizienz beim Pedalieren zu optimieren und die Kompression im Knie zu verringern, was sich besonders für aggressive, nach vorne gerichtete Aero-Fahrpositionen eignet.

Size chart is spot on. They fit and feel like a dream.
Do not worry that there is only one BOA dial, as the construction of the shoe pull the cable across the entire shoe evenly. Wore them on a 38°C and did not sweat at all, or feel hot.
The wide fit is enough wide, for the majority of people. Go ahead and buy them!

I want to evaluate the experience with Fizik.
I have always had problems purchasing bike shoes due to the rather wide sole and high instep.
It seems impossible but of all the best shoe brands, the only one that also features the foot width in the size guide is Fizik.
The others always limit themselves to giving an indication of the length or at most including a 2E (wide) version in the catalog but without ever real specifications on the size.
I have always avoided Fizik because the common opinion is that of a shoe for a narrow fit.
But recently I learned that they have introduced wide versions.
So I tried following their size chart.
I purchased 2 shoes directly from the site and they arrived in 2 days.
I chose the most suitable one and returned the other one.
I really appreciated the free return shipping, which is essential to be able to correctly evaluate the choice.
Mine is not a whim, it is a real need and only Fizik was able to satisfy me.
The price is not very low but. For the comfort I found I can't ask for more.
I advise Fizik to insist on the wide sole, I have many friends who have the same problem as me and I would be happy to see the catalog expanded with even wider shoes or high insteps.

Great shoes. Fit wonderfully and live up to the reviews I read from different online reviewers. The BOA is very easy to use and pulls the shoe equally around my foot. Firm soles and great fitting upper shoe. I had initially purchased a size that didn't fit me and the return process couldn't have been easier- they sent me labels which I printed and brought with the box to the DHL store and DHL simply took all the above and said, 'You're good to go." No signing of anything or any questions. Great buying experience for a great pair of shoes.

Ich hatte den Schuh zunächst eine Größe größer bestellt, weil ich das von Shimano so gewohnt war. Aber der Schuh passt perfekt in der normalen Größe. In Wide genug Platz für die Zehen und trotzdem genug halt um kräftig am Pedal zu ziehen. Zudem sehen die Schuhe echt edel aus und machen einen gut verarbeiteten Eindruck.

I was recommended to try a wide shoe after my bike fit because I had been experiencing numbness in my feet. I have to say that these shoes are comfortable, stiff enough for a beginner such as myself and the extra width has helped with the numbness issue. I love this shoe so far.

Good looking, well constructed shoe. The sole is completely rigid, especially given its low carbon content, and I’ve always ridden with carbon soles. I have very wide feet and these aren’t as wide as I had hoped, they are manageable nonetheless.
