Der VENTO OVERCURVE X3 ist ein XC-Rennschuh, der entwickelt und hergestellt wurde, um seine Kernfunktionen zu erfüllen: eine präzise Passform, persönlicher Schutz und eine effiziente Kraftübertragung beim Durchfahren des Finisher-Bandes.
Das Obermaterial aus Microtex ist anschmiegsam und dennoch robust für eine bequeme und beständige Passform. Der Schnitt ist schlank und stromlinienförmig, mit einem äußerst ergonomischen Muster, und bietet somit den nötigen Schutz.
Overcurve ist eine Schuhkonstruktion mit einem versetzten Kragen, der sich um den Knöchel legt und die natürliche Fehlausrichtung der beiden Vorsprünge des Knöchels nachzeichnet: die lateralen und medialen Malleolen. Das Ergebnis ist eine asymmetrische Form, bei der sich der Schuh über den Fuß von außen nach innen wölbt. Der Verschluss mittels mikroverstellbarem Boa® IP1 Drehrad ist einfach und sicher.
Der Vento Overcurve X3 wird weitgehend unter Verwendung von Schweißbahnen und laminierten Verstärkungen hergestellt, wodurch freiliegende Nähte, in denen sich Schmutz ansammeln könnte, minimiert werden. Sie sind leicht, robust, langlebig und leicht zu reinigen.
Die rennorientierten Eigenschaften dieses Schuhs werden mit der X3-Außensohle aus eingespritztem Carbon unterstrichen. Sie ist minimalistisch, um Gewicht zu sparen, jedoch steif für die nötige Kraftübertragung, mit einem aggressiven Profil, das sich im Untergrund festbeißt und sich dabei nicht mit Dreck zusetzt.

I really enjoy the closure system on these shoes. It makes the shoes really easy to get on and off, not to mention adjusting the tension during the ride. The length and width is great compared to other shoes I have tried. I only have one issue and that is a result of my high instep on one foot. Because of that high instep, I have a pressure point where the Boa system crosses over the opening of the shoe. It is just something I have to deal with given my physiology but others with a high instep should take it into consideration.

Great shoe overall. Sole is stiff enough to use SPD cross-country style pedals without feeling the cleat through the insole, and the single BOA closure works fine for my foot. The fit would be even better with two closures, but it's ok with the single. The asymmetric shape accommodates thick and thin socks without a problem. I do wish there was a little bit of either texture or 'structure' on the bottom of the mid-foot part of the sole. If I miss my cleat when restarting on a steep hill, I'm used to being able to pedal a stroke or two with the pedal under my arch until I can make a second attempt at clicking in. The sole under the arch on these shoes is so smooth, hard, and slippery that it's almost impossible to keep your foot on the pedal if you miss the cleat. Not a deal breaker, though, considering how functional and comfortable these shoes are otherwise.
Fit: I have narrow, flat feet, so it's difficult finding shoes that fit reasonably. These Overcurve X3s are narrower than typical shoes targeted at the USA market, but they're not crazy narrow. I can use them with the minimalist factory insoles, but there's still room for my chunky arch support insoles. Really intelligent design for the way the shoe closes. I can crank the closure down with thin socks or leave it wider for winter socks, and both work without looking or feeling weird. The toe box is much narrower than typical American shoes, so keep that in mind if you have wide forefeet.
Sizing: To get a comfortable fit, I had to add 13 mm to the length measurement I got when using the printable sizing guide. And yes, I followed the directions and printed it at 100% with no scaling, cut away the excess paper, and set it precisely against a wall. The guide claimed I was a 42 (270 mm), which seemed way small since I wear a 43 or 44 in most other brands. Because Fizik offered free returns, I bought 3 sizes - 43, 43.5, and 44. Glad I did, because the 44 was the one that fit. Return was surprisingly easy, considering I had to ship them from the US back to Italy. Other than needing to find a DHL drop off point, the return was painless.
I am tempted to buy a spare pair, because I'm afraid the style will be discontinued in 8-10 years when these wear out.

I have pretty narrow feet, and this model is perfect for me. These are my first gravel-style shoes (I had only road) and I like the comfort of riding and walking in them. I like the boa system. I was wondering if one piece would be effective, but it is. The grip around the Achilles is a bit harsh, but after 2hrs ride, no harm was done.

I have recently purchased these shoes to ride on gravel. I have owned two other pairs of road shoes. These are just as fantastic. And comfortable, I typically go barefoot, and only wear a sock when extremely cold, and these are perhaps even more comfortable than my road shoes they are certainly firm and transfer the power efficiently. I was able to purchase them at a discount, but I would’ve paid full price and been very happy.

These shoes are admirably stiff and very capable of transferring power efficiently. They are also comfortable, easy to adjust, and they look great. For my feet they are slightly narrow just behind the toes, just enough to feel nice and snug, but be sure to try them on if you have wide feet. I found the sizing to be spot on. On a recent 3 hour ride I didn't even notice them, except when I was working hard and I made a note of how solid they felt. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Vento shoes are one of the MTB shoes that are suitable for comfortable training or competition. The shoe is not carbon so it is quite comfortable, but at the same time it is strong enough in the sole so that it does not twist. Overall, the shoe is very welcome for XC and gravel. I love these shoes. I had read that some people felt they ran small so I ordered a full size larger than my previous bike shoes and they were way too big. I went back to my prior size and are still roomier than my old pair of shoes. They have more room in the toe box than my prior shoes and length is similar if not longer than my old pair that are the same size. The stiffer sole is causing a noticeable difference in my cycling. I highly recommend.
