Race-ready
When setting out to develop a race-ready gravity MTB shoe, the feedback we received from top professional athletes was pretty clear: both downhill and enduro racers alike desire a protective and durable shoe to enhance bike control through the pedals.
But beyond control, they also wanted the lightweight performance and precise fit found in a more performance- oriented pair, a combination lacking in most shoes for gravity mountain biking. So we went to the drawing board to create a unicorn: A lightweight and nimble, yet rugged, racing shoe that checks all the boxes desired by competition-leading downhill and enduro MTB riders.
Outsole and riding control
Let’s start with the outsole. Together with your hands on the handlebar, feet are a crucial point of contact when it comes to bike control. The Gravita outsole provides the type of shoe-to-pedal interface you need for fast and aggressive gravity riding, combining the stickiest Vibram XS Trek Evo rubber compound with a specific zonal lug pattern. A low-profile tapered tread pattern positioned at the mid-foot allows for an immediate connection and optimal mechanical interface with the pedal pins, while under the heel and toes, a deeper, sharper tread provides better ground traction when hiking back up the hill.
This clip-in version is stiffer than its flat counterpart for better power transfer through the entire pedal stroke, improving pedalling efficiency. Featuring an extended cleat track, the clip-in version enables you to run your cleats further back to allow for dropped heels on descents to improve both stability and control, just as you would when riding flats pedals.
Performance-oriented precision fit
Both downhill and enduro racing stand out for their short, intense and powerful pedal strokes, whether sprinting out of the start gate or approaching the finish line. Providing proper foot tension and fit is essential to effectively transfer every useful watt of power generated. To avoid wasting watts, we leveraged our decades of design experience and knowledge in creating properly fitting cycling shoes. For the Tensor, we developed an ergonomic lace-up pattern that cradles the foot and spreads tension evenly throughout the pedal stroke. A Powerstrap over the instep secures the fit, stabilizing the plantar arch and locking the heel in place while also keeping laces in check.
Durable and protective
Intentional engineering went into stripping weight and eliminating the excess material that would otherwise lead to the bulky look and sloppy fit of typical gravity shoes. To avoid this, the Tensor features a slim silhouette and minimal weight provided through the use of innovative rip-stop outer fabrics and an inner lining that is far less absorbent than traditional alternatives.
In addition to these durable and hard-wearing fabrics, our gravity racing shoe is equipped with the essential protection demanded by fast and rowdy riding: an injection-moulded TPU armoured toe-box wards off rocks and debris while the raised inner-ankle profile and a robust laminated scuff guard protect along high-wear areas.

I'm usually a size 42 but they came up a little short so swapped to 42.5 which was much better. Super comfy and plenty wide enough in the toe box.
Downside is the laces - they're too short and too slippery so they're quite difficult to do up properly

right out of the box, the boot fit and functioned perfectly. It held up on the fastest of descents and stayed comfortable thru the climbs. The vamp was roomy enough to allow my feet to swell during the day but was not loose enough that i lost foot control. The hard bumper on the toe box kept my toes from getting dinged up with flying debris and the outsole traction was solid yet has a softness to it that it felt comfortable on quick hikes. I would definitely buy this product again.

I love my new shoes. The wide footprint traduce to stability on the pedal while going down. The clipless are good to transfer power while pedaling. As I have a wide front foot I chose half a size over for the comfort. I will be able to use warmer socks toward the end of the season with the extra space. Good job Fizik!

The size is perfect. I selected the size with the providet show sizing guide on the website and my knowhow tat you have always to add 10mm space with sport shoes. So I ordered a size 45 with a foot length of 285mm and this fits perfect. The Show itself is comfortable and I had a good feeling sinze I used it only for one bike run so far. I gave only 4 from 5 stars because I would prefer the boa Single Strap closure combined with a protective velcro fastener.

I bought the Gravita and Tensor. Both shoes are packed with useful, functional features. The design, materials and fit and finish are stellar. The lowers are chunky and stout. Offset lacing and lite uppers are ahead of any production shoe. I have large amounts of disposable income. I buy a large amount of varied bikes (gravel, mountain) and bike products. Both of these shoes are so much more technically advanced and comfortable than anything currently sold. Only time will tell if they survive long term savage beatings.

Great shoe, it has a really solid lockdown, despite being with laces and the strap makes it so they doesn't fly anywhere.
It is also pretty stiff, which makes it great for riding. At the same time you can walk around comfortably in them.
My preferred use is not as intended, but as an daily commuter shoe that can be worn with normal clothes. This is also a benefit as it looks pretty much like some normal sneakers.
They are manufactured in an seemingly very durable way with the rubber edge and the sole.

Shoe fits well, maybe a little snug, but laces allow for more room. Shank is nice and stiff, lace strap works really well and there is no excess strap to flap around. The shoe breathes better than I thought, might be a little chilly on winter rides, but great for spring and summer. Heel cup works well when hiking up steep tracks, the shoe doesn't slip on the foot at all. Cleat box is a little narrow, but provides a secure feel when clipped in.

True to size (9.5 is spot on) and extremely comfortable... I have about 10 miles of walking and around 175 miles of pedaling on them so far: as said -extremely comfortable- and just the right amount of flex to rigidity for everything I need.
Vibram soles are gripy in the wet.

Overall these are a great trail shoe! The vibrant sole gives lots of grip. Lots of support and the inside ankle guard helps against unwanted frame rub. I will say it makes me wonder why they didn’t make them a full mid high shoe. I feel like the mesh top won’t be great once things get a bit damp in late season however not discounting them yet.
These are my first clipless shoes and so far I love them. The first day I got them I wore them around the house without cleats to start breaking them in and the comfort was unreal.

I love these shoes. Use them for All trail riding, matched to spd XT pedals. Quality is exceptional- fit is good. I run a bit narrow heel but this shoe is snug in all the right places and room in my toes. Soul is great, grips where I want it to. Came from all boa shoes but these are almost as easy to put on even with the laces. The toe armor is tough but the shoe is flexible, keeping the stiffness for pedaling. I love the padded “neoprene sock” that keeps rocks and dirt out while keeping my inner ankle pain free. I used my sizing from my specialized shoes- perfect fit.
