Der VENTO POWERSTRAP R2 AEROWEAVE ist ein reinrassiger Rennschuh: Das leichteste und atmungsaktivste Modell in der Performance-Reihe von fizik, entwickelt mit einer innovativen hochfesten netzartigen Struktur, die mit unserer steifsten Carbon-Sohle verbunden ist.
Aeroweave
Das Bestreben, das Gewicht zu reduzieren und die Belüftung zu erhöhen, während gleichzeitig die Stütze und der Schutz erhalten bleiben sollte, brachte unsere Designer und Ingenieure zur Entwicklung eines neuen Materials für das Obermaterial. Es wird Aeroweave genannt und ist ein fortschrittliches Gewebe, das leichte Nylonfasern mit Filamenten aus thermoplastischem Polymer verflicht.
Durch diese Mischung von Fäden entsteht ein Material mit einem offenen, netzartigen Muster, das extrem luftig und dennoch sehr widerstandsfähig und belastbar ist. Das Obermaterial des Vento Powerstrap R2 Aeroweave ist so intensiv belüftet, dass die Socken der Fahrer durch ihn hindurch sichtbar sind. Aeroweave ist ein formbares Material, das sich bewegt, um den Fuß effektiv zu wiegen, aber seine Festigkeit bietet die Unterstützung und den Halt, die für einen Hochleistungs-Rennschuh erforderlich sind.
Powerstrap
Während die meisten klassischen Klettverschlüsse einfach zwei Seiten des Schuhoberteils zusammenziehen, wickelt sich bei der Konfiguration des Vento Powerstrap ein Band um den Fuß und ermöglicht so ultimativen Komfort und Halt mit nur zwei Bändern. Spann und Mittelfuß sind für eine individuelle Passform und Kompression getrennt einstellbar. Diese Bänder wurden optimiert, um sie noch leichter und stärker zu machen.
R2 OUTSOLE
Der Vento Powerstrap R2 Aeroweave verfügt zudem über eine völlig neue Außensohle: Die speziell entwickelte Carbonfaser-Außensohle des R2 spart Gewicht und sorgt für erhöhte Steifigkeit. Mit einem Index von 10 ist die R2 die steifste Außensohle in der fizik-Reihe. Ein breiter Belüftungseinlass und eine tiefe interne Luftführung sorgen für einen kühlenden Luftstrom und tragen zum Temperaturmanagement bei. Die Cleats sind im Vergleich zur traditionellen Platzierung etwas weiter zur Ferse hin positioniert, um die Effizienz beim Treten zu optimieren und die Belastung des Knies zu verringern, was sich besonders für aggressive vordere Aero-Fahrpositionen eignet.

Absolutely love the Powerstrap R2 Aeroweave Vento shoes. Comfortable, light & the powerstrap closure does not produce any hotspots so far on my indoor trainer. The only thing that I should have done differently is order a full size smaller than my Giro Prolight Techlace instead of just a half size that was recommended via other reviews. These particular shoes do run big.

The shoe is as airy as I hoped it would be. Don't make my feet sweat like that. Unfortunately, it's not entirely good. It is conceivable that a size or half a size smaller would have been a suitable size. I checked that the insole is the same size as my old shoe, but the heel design of this one is different, so my heel slides back in it, so it's a little big.
Unfortunately, the middle of the sole is pressing both of my feet. This will not change at all, the material of the shoe is broken.
The mesh part of the upper stretches very precisely and comfortably to the shape of my feet. The Velcro is easy to tighten. Unfortunately, the part of the upper velcro where the velcro is not sewn is short, and it is difficult for the thicker part to fit through the hole. Unfortunately, I have to squeeze through there, because I wouldn't be able to take the shoes on or off. This is a bit confusing.
The soles of the shoes are quite stiff and I feel like I can exert more power compared to my older shoes. I can only imagine this, unfortunately I can't measure it.

This is the third pair of Fizik shoes I own. I wanted a well ventilated and stiff shoe for riding in Miami's summer. Being a fan of BOA system, I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, but other cyclists' reviews made me give them a try. They exceeded my expectations.

Excellent shoe; difficult to adjust straps on the fly so consider that if buying for race event use. Excellent for hot weather environment. Very stiff sole, but feels lightweight and airy. About 1/2 size larger than other mfg's I've bought (Pearl Izumi, Specialized, Shimano, Sidi) so consider a 1/2-size down and try on carefully before mounting cleats or riding.

It's hard to imagine a more perfect cycling shoe. The near weightless upper seems to only have one mission in life - hold the carbon sole to your foot. It's profoundly comfortable and light, yet offers a solid surface to engage the pedal for long rides. What more can you ever wish for in a shoe?

Only had my first ride this morning. Fit is excellent with sizing as expected. The straps are brilliant with no chance of coming loose or breaking in the future. Very stiff sole. Up there with the best other carbon soles on the market. Although the ride was not super hot, I suspect that the aeroweave will work well, but I don't get hot feet normally anyway. The shoes are super light as well. Lighter than my Sidi Air carbons, which is saying something.
