I really like the cycling shoe overall. It's solid and feels proper. I like the straps and they are easy to adjust on the bike. The strap being over the top is a nice feature for getting that snug fit without awkward angles. I also like the pull tab, it feels strong and helps. I think the sizing runs a bit small, which is unfortunate.

Great light weight shoe with comfortable upper. Fit is pretty straight lined. A little narrow in forefoot and wide in heel but I also have duck feet (wide forefoot and narrow heel)! :) The mesh upper should allow for this though.

My first pair of Fizik cycling shoes - just got them so not sure of longevity or how they perform in a race. But for the several times i trained in them i am impressed with the fit and comfort.

Good looking shoes, they do what we were expecting. Yet they are some what fragil and a few marks exist just after the first transitions training. I have seen some older models with the front in leather which I find is much more resistant.

Excellent shoes, really comfortable. I'd been looking for a replacement pair of cycling shoes for some time but with fairly specific requirements - white or off-white, a velcro strap (boas cause soreness for me, and laces are a faff). I found them very comfortable, easy to put on and secure on the foot. My only complaint is that the cleat position is fairly set back on the shoe, and is not adjustable, so one point deducted.

Extremely comfortable and very well looking shoes. Also, quality materials used. However, I have a bit of a problem with the design. It has a horrendously long strap. I have a long, but narrow feet and I have to destroy my very first fizik shoes by cutting off at least 3cm of the strap.

Not fit. Just came back from a 15 mile ride. Too tight in the toes and too loose in the heel. I measured a 44 for the width. Do you use a woman’s foot for the mold? Women tend to have a wide last as I do and a narrow heel. These shoes are designed for a man’s foot. I ordered a woman’s shoe. I could not return per company policy. Also while a single strap is a good concept for transition this one is too long. It got caught in my chain, luckily, I was on an indoor bike. I needed to trim at least 2.5 cm to stop that from happening. I thought maybe I could use them just for training rides but my foot pulls out or the shoe on the upstroke found that out today. Added time to my ride. More than I would save in transition. The shoes are useless to me. Maybe a 42 or 43 would fit better but don’t want to invest more money in this product. Concept is great execution of design for women is not. Very disappointed. Not recommend for women.

Great fit and high quality. Worn 500 miles in training and then for Ironman. I do not wear socks and I have had no issues. The Velcro strap could use a better edge stitching because it can bite into top of foot.

There is no doubt this product is an excelent high performance cycling shoe made with quality materials so I'll cut to the chase with the only issue I have with it. The upper strap (The one with the Fizik logo) its too long and whenever I tighten it the edge (of the strap) touches the pedal arm of my bike when I'm pedaling. This is a problem because it causes the strap to untighten and I fear in the long run it might get damaged.

I wanted to like these shoes as they do have some clever design features for triathlons, but no. The big problem is the fit. Doing the whole printout fitting procedure, it said I should be a 48. I’ve never been a 48 in any brand;47 at the biggest. So I ordered the 47. Once I got the 47, way to big and had to deal with the annoying process sending back the 47 and reordering the 46. Now I’ve put in 5 rides on the trainer and I can’t use these shoes anymore. The arch support is way too forward and puts pressure in all the wrong spots. Maybe it’s because the shoe is still too big and I need a 45. But again, the fitting chart had me at a 48, so then it’s completely useless. Another problem, the strap is too long and hits on the cranks almost every pedal stroke. If I was actually going to race in these shoes, I would cut a few mm of the strap to stop the rubbing. Hopefully I can sell these on eBay and recoup some cash.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes that I've ever biked in. Even 5-6 hours later when my feet start to swell, I haven't had any discomfort with these shoes. I highly, highly recommend them! These shoes breathe really, really well!! They don't hold sweat or rain, and the cleats have more adjustability than the other Fizik R4s. They are stiff as well! Great for racing or training rides! I have wide and flat feet and these fit me great. The R1 and R3 are too narrow for me but these are perfect! I'll be buying these again in the future!

I have ridden the these shoes once and so far I like them. They aren't as stiff as my regular road shoes, but are much easier to get on. I do wish they closed the other way. The straps close to the inside. The end of the strap on my right shoe hits the crank arm. I'll have to cut a bit off the end of the closure strap

The shoes fit very well. However, when tightened, the end piece of the strap is loose an touches the bracket with every revolution. This is very annoying. What can I do? I do not want to cut off this end piece.
