TEMPO ARGO R1 is a versatile endurance road saddle with a short-nosed design and generous ischial support that encourages stability.
Where a traditional saddle shape encourages riders to shift their position frequently for better leverage, Argo puts the rider in a more planted position, making for greater stability and better weight distribution.
Argo is our most versatile saddle shape and each version suits different riding styles. As the endurance riding option, Tempo Argo has been engineered to deliver a riding feel that suits the balanced geometry of today’s all-purpose road machines.
Tempo Argo’s short length allows the rider to sit further forward without placing undue pressure on sensitive tissues. It also features an ergonomic cutout that was developed using detailed pressure analysis and input from medical experts.
The padding is made from fizik’s proprietary Type 2 foam formulation, slightly thicker around the ischial sit bones area to support a more upright riding posture. The cushioning is slightly softer and more progressive than the type we use on our racing saddles, providing more long-distance comfort.

My favourite saddle, only lighter and fancier! The perfect perch for my gravel bike, the large cutout gives me freedom to move along the full length of the saddle and rotate my pelvis forward to protect my lower back.

Tempo Argo as a series is amazing. Been using the Tempo Argo r3 and saw that the R1 version was on sail. Really couldn't tell the difference. Both are comfy! If you're on a slight budget, I'd go with the R3. But still happy with my new R1 👍

Really comfortable and aesthetic. I will ride long, very long, on it this summer. I did a couple of rides >100km and feels just good. It is the first time I have a short saddle. Maybe it could be slightly less slippery, but that is not a big problem?

Very comfortable and the cut out is just the right amount to help with pressure in that area. Used it on trainer to test out and it being a bit wider than my other saddles makes it much more comfortable. Also the padding is just right along with my padded bibs to make it comfy to sit on for hours.

I only have about 200km on the saddle, and no ride longer than 40km, but so far it is comfortable and fits well. This is my first short nose saddle, but it doesn't seem to feel much different than my regular saddle.
